A person has six or more skin lesions and leprosy bacteria are found to be more common in women than men. can be born at any age But it often occurs in young children. can spread from person to person (through the airway gastrointestinal tract or ruptured skin), but the risk of catching is small. Leprosy is found in the early stages and can be cured without side effects.
